I first heard the The Districts from a friend that recommended their slow building, gut-busting track “Funeral Beds”. Since hearing that song for the first time, I was hooked.
Much to my delight, I heard that the teenage foursome out of Philly released a new song and announced an album. The track ‘4th and Roebling‘ is taken from the album, A Flourish And A Spoil, out through Fat Possum February 2015. The track sounds like a cousin to some early Arctic Monkey’s material. It’s important to tap into that garage rocker we all have inside us, and with crashing drums, perfectly distorted guitars and angsty vocals, ‘4th and Robling’ is the perfect way to do so.
