Happy NFL Sunday to all you fantasy football addicts! And a special good day to my Kansas City Cheifs’ fans, along with a happy “I hope you lose and that you’re day is full of football pain and suffering” to the Buffalo Bills fans. Nothing personal, KC just needs the W. But this isn’t a website for me to rant about the NFL, it’s a wonderful place full of musical pleasure and Eargazm’s alike, so let’s focus. The collaborative wizard himself DJ Drama brought Jadakiss, Cee-Lo Green, Young Jeezy, and Nipsey Hussle on his track titled Never Die. The song, dedicated to the young guns and souls we have all lost way too soon, will be on the DJ’s fourth upcoming studio album “Quality Street Music” set to release October 2nd. I don’t use the term collaborative wizard lightly, the man is a master at gathering the right artists for his songs to lay down some murderous rhymes on his even more murderous beats. That’s a very dangerously murderous work of art. Along with the MC’s featured on this track, Drama has also enlisted the talent of Kendrick Lamar, Tyler, the Creator, T.I, Ludacris, Future, and surely a few other appearances not heard of yet. Going off what we have heard from the album’s first single We In This Bitch and now Never Die, the project is sure to be an entertaining one filled with a range of dope instrumentals, sick spittin, and plenty of screaming and audio of obnoxious gunshots and sirens. Actually, Drama is one of the least obnoxious DJs in the game when it comes to inserting unrelated shout outs and sounds into his songs. My favorite is when DJs begin their songs by laughing and telling us “UH OH, THEY AIN’T READY FOR THIS ONE!!!”. A.) What happened 10 seconds prior to you recording the song that was so goddamn funny and B.) yes, I am ready for this one because I chose to hit the play button and therefore would like to hear the rest of the track. Regardless, I think it’s hilarious. For a good laugh listen to The Lonely Island’s The Old Saloon, a parody of over-the-top DJs in the game. Your sides will figuratively split. Get Your Earz Wet.
