These days it’s very easy for a song with a dubstep-ish sound to get a bad label to it and written off as “bro-step” or any other slew of derogatory terms. But the problem doesn’t exist with the genre itself, it’s with the lack of creativity, over flooding of the market and crowd pleasing tendencies.
This is not one of those songs.
Ellinor Olovsdotter spent a summer traveling London (the birthplace of dubstep) and came back to her home of Stockholm, Sweden with some serious prowess. The song you are about to listen to, “Revolusion” has such intense, raw power behind it, one can’t help but be moved. It’s possible that there isn’t a sound system yet created to fully contain this track. It’s something to rally behind.
