It’s pretty much an undisputed fact that hotel sex is bomb as all get-out. It’s been the subject of some of the greatest R&B jams of our generation. So the new track from Future Brown and Tink had a pretty high bar to clear. Room 302 delivers like room service with a plucky beat, a sumptuous hook, and some scorching bars from Chicago’s 19 year-old spitfire, Tink.
Future Brown is an avant-club supergroup comprised of Fatima Al Qadir, Asma Maroof and Daniel Pineda of Nguzunguzu, and Lit City Trax’s J-Cush, and this is their second collab with Tink after last year’s Wanna Party. It’s no secret I love a raw femcee and some icy-cold R&B, and that’s why Tink’s unclassifiable brand has me so bent out of shape. She flits seamlessly between both genres with skill far beyond her years. Now that Timbaland is producing her debut album, 2015 is bound to be the year of Tink. The man flat-out said it’s his best work since he broke Aaliyah with Age Ain’t Nothing But A Number in ’94. Don’t delay. Stan now.
