Houndmouth was one of the best new band’s of 2013, releasing their album From The Hills Below The City. Their whisky drenched guitar licks, front-porch harmonies and bouncy rhythms went down like apple pie. What really stuck with me about Houndmouth is that you can tell they really BELIEVE in their music. It seems to be intertwined with their souls, and it shows.
The band has resurfaced with a new stripped down track titled ‘For No One’ that simply features lead singer Matt Myers and his guitar with minimal frills. It’s hard not to draw up Bob Dylan comparisons when listening to this one.
Color us excited to hear more new tunes from Houndmouth.
And just because we love these guys so, check out their video for ‘Penitentiary’
