Jon Bellion has (rightfully so) had his share of the spotlight from our writers, intriguing us with tracks like Munny Right and Simple And Sweet. The New York native is just a few weeks away from dropping his third album, The Definition (September 23rd), with fans and followers alike anxious to see if the project can bump him up to A-List status. There’s no doubt Bellion is talented with impressive skills in songwriting, producing, singing and rapping. His most noted credit to date is penning lyrics for Eminem and Rihanna’s The Monster. Bellion has progressively been standing up from the writer’s desk to project his words into the mic and hasn’t failed to make an impression.
On Luxury, Bellion raps and sings aside the vocals of Audra Mae (great, great niece of Judy Garland ICYDK) to create a kick ass track. My favorite part is undoubtedly the drop into the chorus: a deep bass collides with horns, joined with Bellion’s pipes to pump up the energy. Supposedly there’s a short film of the same title on its way, but no news yet from Bellion’s Facebook page. Check out Luxury below and keep an eye out for more previews from The Definition.
