Nick Zammuto is a music purist. He lives modestly as a family man in Vermont, making quality music for a small but devout group of fans. You won’t see him performing at the Grammy’s or “blowing up” on HypeM. It’s really a true musicians dream. No expectations of what’s trending or appeasing a mass fan base, but also able to freely create the music you want to create. It’s inspiring if you ask this guy.
The latest track “Io” caught my ear with its confident funk-punk swing. Zammuto does what he wants and we’re all lucky he’s able to do so.
“Io” is from the upcoming album Anchor out Sept. 2nd.
If you want more of Zammuto, I recommend checking out this short documentary. It’s one of my all-time favorite music docs.
