midweek madness

So, It’s the middle of the week and you’re probably just counting down the minutes until Friday. I say instead of eagerly waiting, you sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. I’ve selected a few kick back tracks to help you do just that.

Dillistone_01My first selection is a song by up and coming producer Dillistone. He’s spent some time in Copenhagen and Shanghai, but is currently based out of London, England. His latest track is called Sad & High. Dillistone samples the chorus from Emmelie De Forest’s Drunk Tonight. He takes Emmelie’s irresistible vocals and surrounds them with warm synths and a spacey baseline. This is the perfect song to start zoning your way to the Friday finish line..

Elohim-XanaxMoving on to my second selection.. LA native Elohim just remixed her past collaboration with Casey Veggies, All that Gold. It’s a rare treat for an artist to remix their own song and that’s especially the case with this one. The original, heavily features Casey Veggies, while her vocals echo in the background. Her remix flips the script and she lays down the verses, while Casey Veggies is lightly sampled. Click play and let her gently rock you into a state of total tranquility.

leisureWinding down with my third selection.. I present you with a brand new song from New Zealand’s own LEISURE, called All Over you. They take their usual upbeat sound and drop it way downtempo with this sexy jam. This is the kind of song I imagine playing in a dimly lit lounge with cigarette smoke flowing through the air. I can assure you, you’ll love LEISURE’s “Too Cool For School” vibe. Be easy my friends and enjoy The Eargazm..
