U.O.E.N.O. TDE Remix

Since its creation a few months back, Childish Major’s instrumental for U.O.E.N.O. has exploded within the rap community. It’s first form starred Rocko, Rick Ross, and Future which of course gained tons of controversy with Rozay’s reference to the date rape drug and its associated activities. The track then trickled its way into the studio of Wiz Khalifa whose rapid fire rhymes added an aspect to the song not heard on the original. Now, with great pleasure, I present to you the best version yet with the Black Hippy U.O.E.N.O. Remix featuring Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, and Jay Rock.

If there’s one thing we’ve learned from the TDE catalog it’s that they do not fuck around when they’re together in the studio. With their spin on Major’s U.O.E.N.O, they prove once again why they are one of the best posses in the game, feeding off one another’s creativity from verse to verse. The label’s captain Kendrick slowly builds his energy for an incredible intro, Q serves up a typical relentless rough set, Ab-Soul lays down his diverse flow, and Jay Rock wraps with that strong street tone. However, there wouldn’t be this dynamic crew collabo without the track’s producer. As far as I’m concerned, Childish Major is the man of the hour.

Born in South Carolina and currently located in Atlanta, Major presents a unique sound unheard of at a time when so many styles seem to be on repeat. His instrumentals present darker moods while almost appearing psychedelic, capable of being both low-toned club bangers and easy riding cruise music. His sounds are evidently highly wanted at the moment as 2013 has brought him a huge collabo with Juicy J in Ain’t No Coming Down and of course all the MC’s who made U.O.E.N.O. their own.

Major’s mind is thinking outside the box. He’s a creative young gun the game desperately needs in order for it to escape the same over-used material. Major is bound to see more work with big artists in the coming months and is sure to be a key factor in the new wave of young talent.

Enjoy the Black Hippy remix, look out for more Major, and Get Your Earz Wet!
