After a rally with his fans over Twitter late this afternoon, Joey Bada$$ has claimed this week of February 2013 #PROERAweek. Hey, I’m not complaining. In fact, I’m overcome with glee and eargazmic joy. What is about to be a shitstorm of snow spraying over the state of Kansas will most likely ensure the third snow day in one week for the University of Kansas (knock on wood). If you need me tomorrow, I’ll be on my couch stoned with a beer in my hand looping 1999, the Pro Era tapes, and the rest of the Brooklyn kid’s tracks. Mr. Bada$$ has given us the first release within this week long celebration of his crew by releasing Wendy N Becky featuring Chance The Rapper. The song, produced by Thelonius Martin, is a laid back, jazzy instrumental in which both rappers effortlessly interlace their flow into. The track fades out after a thickly rhymed verse from Joey followed by the hook, but the bars are laid back down after Chance The Rapper throws out a solid verse.
