Check out the ultra smooth track Grind from Les Sins, a chillwave/dance side project of Chaz Bundick aka Toro Y Moi. Chaz is seriously one hard working cat. After releasing a full length album under the Toro Y Moi name, titled Anything in Return, he decided to get right back at it under a completely new moniker to showcase his versatility and ability to evolve. Much like his previous work, Grind showcases his ability to develop rich, deep sonic textures that make your ears feel pretty damn good. The song could seemingly be played for hours on loop. Synths bounce off the walls while being propelled some funky basslines and a crisp constant drum beat.
The single will be released on 12″ on 3/18 via Caribou’s record label, Jialong. Right now Chaz is down in Austin getting weird with all the rest of the SXSWers. He is playing a pretty full docket of shows including March 13th at the KCRW Showcase and March 14th at the Pitchfork Day Party before heading down to Brazil to play Lollapalooza.
