Pacific Air consists of Ryan and Taylor Lawhon, formally known as KO KO who were best known for their song “Float”. The duo is back with “Move”, a bouncy track that cuts surprisingly deep for being so breezy. The track is a like a blast of fresh, crisp air.
“Move” is a track that is defined by it’s contrasts. Take rhythm of this track, for example. Rolling, thunderous drums crash in between steady, simple hand claps. Celestial synth arpeggios create a vastness that gets sliced through like a hot knife through butter by the sugary sweet “oohs” and “ahhhs” of the chorus and bright, glossy riffs in between. “Move” is the type of track that gets stuck in your head and sticks around like a bad cold. Although, it is much, MUCH more pleasant than that.
Pacific Air‘s debut album Stop Talking comes out June 11th. “Move” is the first single off that album. You can get another song “Lose My Mind” to download for the cheap price of an email address over at their website. You can catch the band this weekend at Governor’s Ball in New York or on the rest of their east coast tour. All the dates are available at the bands website. Go ahead and “treat yo self” to the song below and keep an ear out for the album.
