Let’s all be honest here. Working in the food service industry kind of sucks. For anyone that has ever been a waiter and not wanted to just throw the food at an annoying customer or the ungrateful boss needs to have their pulse checked, but I’m gonna take a guess that 99.9% of us out there never did such a thing because we are sensible humans. Lucky for all of us rational, red-blooded former/current waiters out there, The Whigs released this video for Staying Alive which follows a couple of waiters at an Italian restaurant act out on their primal food fight instincts.
The video is as incredibly fun and playful as the song. The song is nothing tricky or fancy, just a good hard-driving blues riff, a catchy chorus and a delightful horn solo. Not much to really be said about the video except that it is a very enjoyable 4 minutes that you won’t regret watching.
I hadn’t heard of The Whigs before this video. The trio of garage rockers hails from Athens, GA, which is really becoming a hub of good music as of late. The have recently released a new album titled Enjoy The Company, so if you enjoy their company (wow that was corny) head over to their website and grab the album over at their album courtesy of New West Records.
